Stewardess / Mate : Corinna Halloran

Born and raised in Newport, Rhode Island, Corinna grew up around the ocean, resulting in a life long love for the sea as well as a love for seeking adventure beyond the walls of Newport. Although she did not grow up sailing, she did grow up surfing and has surfed around the Caribbean, USA and Australia, thus giving her a further understanding of the ocean and all that it has to offer.

Attending university at the University of San Francisco,Corinna studied English and Photojournalism, and was the photography editor of the universities newspaper "The Foghorn". While attending USF,Corinna studied abroad in Melbourne, Australia where she filled her computer with beautiful photographs of the country's east coast and Tasmania.

Upon graduation, Corinna was ready to see what the sea really had to offer.  An interest sparked by her mother's days in yachting, Corinna quickly jumped at the opportunity to work on her first sailing yacht. Putting her years of experience in one of Newport's most exclusive fine dining restaurants to use, Corinna eased into the role of stewardess to bring guests the best experience possible. Working only on sailing yachts with some of the industry's best skippers and chefs, Corinna has learned a lot within this time frame. Within the last year and a half, Corinna's slight interest in sailing has turned into a great passion, as it has brought her more opportunities than she originally imagined. This passion is greatly seen in her photography work, and Corinna hopes that one day she will be able to combine her love for sailing with her degree in journalism.

Corinna also enjoys running and ran her first marathon, the NYC Marathon, this past November. Sparked by the desire to surf as much as possible, she has learned how to wakeboard, a sport more conducive to living on a sailing boat. Corinna also enjoys swimming, practicing yoga and exploring. She also gets on well and works great with kids.
